Elf Products Review!

Hey guys!
So some of you wanted to know some more about elf products and what to get in this range!

So Elf Cosmetics is found in Kmart for those in Australia or for those in New Zealand, they are found in Farmers I believe. Or online at www.elfcosmetics.com.au

Elf is an Australian brand so cannot be found in America or ship internationally on their website, sorry guys!

I love elf cosmetics because they are so so so cheap and such good quality for the money!

Okay, onto the products!

This product has been an absolute love of mine lately! It is definately becoming a holy grail. I dont have too many holy grails so it has to be preeeetty good to be one!
So it is the Elf Mineral Face Primer.

It comes in clear, tone adjusting green, brightwning lavendar and radiant glow.
It says on the bottle it "Fills in fine lines, and creates a flawless finish" and it really does!
I got the tone adjusting green one, because i have a lot of redness on my cheeks and above my eyebrows (weirdest place!) and to get rid of red you get something with a green undertone to conteract that.
When i put the primer on I had to go check my food in the oven and when i came back I was so shocked that there was hardly any red on my cheeks anymore! It is so soothin to out on. It has a similar texture to my Mac Prep + Prime,  which is sort of a greasy type feel you could say? But not in a bad way! It feels moisturising too.
Not only do I use this as a primer, but if I plan on not wearing make up out somewhere but want to get rid of the redness, I just pop this on and it tones down the redness really well! Even though it is green it does go on clear to your skin so dont worry!
I also love to mix. So I sometimes mix the tone adjusting green, brightening lavendar and radiant glow. It makes your skin look amazing! And is also an alternative for the Stila One Step Correct, and you save around $20-$30.

The downside to this though is how much product you actually get! If you buy just one, there is only enough product to last you 2 weeks if you use it everyday like I do. But the good thing about it is that its only $12 each!

My next almost becoming holy grail is the Elf High Definition Undereye Setting Powder and mine is the the colour? Sheer.

This little pot is great for setting your concealor! I think its only about $5? And it looks like a tiny bit of product but I have been using this for four or five months, every single day and it still doesn't look like I have made a dent in it.
The only small problem, that some of you may not like, is that it has really small glitters in it. I use a shimmery highlight and blush anyway so it does not bother me at all! But for those who like a really matte make up look with no glitter, I wouldn't reccomend this but the glitters do dissapear through out the day.

Next up elf Eyebrow Kit! Mine is in the colour medium.
If you do not have this in your kit, you are missing out! I love this. I am almost hitting pan! Its very exciting for me haha. Its so compact, so it fits in your bag so easily, also comes with a tiny little brush that fits into the package. A lot of beauty gurus will have this in the make up collection! And its only $8!

There is a gel side, and a powder side.
I don't normally use the powder unless ai am having a bad brow day and i have gaps ill fill them in with the powder but most days just the gel side! Both really opaque, you don't need a lot of product which is awesome!
The gel is really creamy and just glides on! So definately go out and get it!

Okay next is eyeshadows..
I have a lot of elf eyeshadows, i bought one and i loved it and i bought all of them and now i dont like them anymore.
Elf eyeshadows are not something I recommend. I'm also going to toss in another product into this one too, and kts the elf eyelid primer. Just cause its all about eyes!
I had these eyeshadows for two weeks and they dried out so quickly! I don't even know why I have them when they are useless but yeah!

I have only used the eyelid primer once since ive bought it. I mainly use my two faced shadow insurance most just because i like it better to be honest. It makes your eyeshadow stick better. Theres nothing majorly wrong with this primer, it does crease but not heaps.

So that is it for my current elf cosmetics products review! Thanks so much for reading guys and there will be a part 2 coming soon because i do want to try out some blushes and foundations! (They didnt have any at the store last time so i couldn't pick any up).

Have a lovely day/night/week/weekend and I shall talk to you guys soon!

Hair Care Routine

Hey guys!

So for the most part of my life I haven't taken very good care of my hair. Mainly because I didn't think I needed too because I never dyed it until year 8 and it was only every 6 months or so i would get it done. Also i hardly ever straightened it.

Until, that is, I became an apprentice at a hair dressing salon. I have pretty much abused my hair since day 1, and before i started working in the salon, or even a year later whilst still working there, i never actually believed in using any products. Never used hair spray, coloured shampoos, heat protectors (even though I would straighten my hair almost everyday). Only ever just used the basic shampoo and conditioner from a local coles store.
But then i made the HUGE mistake of using bleach, and boy did that take the moisture and life out of my hair. So I decided to buy some products to strengthen, and give nutrients back into my hair to bring it back to life! It obviously didn't happen straight away but after a month or two my hair finally started feeling healthy, then i got a haircut and it was definately healthier than ever!

So in this post I thought I would show you guys what my hair routine is to keeping it healthy!

Now all of the products I use are from De Lorenzo. Yes I do use it at work sp it is easier to get, but I have tried other products and I just seem to love this one more.

So normally i would just used a normal shampoo from de lorenzo but because i bleached my hair and bleach takes put all the pigment in the hair, when i went to put the brown colour i have over it now, it just fades out straight away, so i need some help with some colour shampoo.

De Lorenzo has the best colour care shampoo range. Their silver shampoo is the most popular and the best on the market! What i normally do with this shampoo is i put it on while dry, leave it in for however long i can, and then rinse it out and do my normal hair routine, to really get the colour into my hair.

After i have shampoo'd, i will put in my protein complex spray by De Lorenzo.

Most of your hair is made of protein, so this spray just adds some more in to give the hair more strength! If you get split ends easily, this is a good spray for you! It is also good for colour protection. I just spray it in, leave for 5 minutes or so, and then put conditioner in. Don't rinse it out!

Obviously, next up is Conditioner! I use the De Lorenzo Rejuvin8 conditioner. This shampoo is for coloured and chemically enhanced hair! Which is for most people, am i right?

So before i dry my hair or let it air dry i like to put a few things in my hair

First up:
De Lorenzo instant restructant
This is just a leave-in hair treatment.

Then next:
De Lorenzo Hair Moisturiser
Basically what it says in the title! Adds moisture back in the hair :)

Hope you guys enjoyed!

Until next time

Bronzers: Natio vs. FOA

Hey guys! So i was looking at my bronzers drawer today and thought I would do a comparison blog post! The two bronzers i chose for this post is the Natio Mineral Pressed Powder Bronzer and the Face of Australia Bronzer.

Up first, the Natio Pressed powder bronzer. This is in the shade sunkissed.

This isn't the type of bronzer you would contour with. It has a very strong gold reflect, as you will see in the swatch photo, so you would put this product on the areas the sun would hit like cheeks, forehead, nose. To give you that sunkissed look. Hence the name. You could use this as a gold highlighter if you have a darker skin tone. This product is more of a summer used product, to make you look a bit more tanned. It does look orange at first look, but it doesn't come off orange on the skin.

The other bronzer for this post is the Face of Australia Pressed Powder Bronzer.

This bronzer is great for contouring. It is very matte and an absolute brown, no orange tinge. Most bronzers I have used have made me look orange, but not this bronzer. Its straight up brown, and is my favourite bronzer to contour with atthe moment. There is only one colour of this bronzer, no light or dark, so i do have blend this in really well so its not as dark but still looks good otherwise :)

Here are the swatches for both the bronzers:
Left: face of australia - right: natio

As you can see the Face of Australia Bronzer is a straight matte brown and the Natio is all gold, no brown at all

So if you ever come to a dilemma about which of these you would like, if your not looking to contour and just want to add some warmth to your skin, go with the natio bronzer, but if you do want to sculpt your face and contour, i recommend the face of australia bronzer!

Hope you enjoyed guys,

Keeley

All About Australis!

Hey Lovelies!

So today I'm going to be talking about my favourite drugstore brand, Australis!

You can get Australis from Priceline or Kmart! You can probably get them from other places but thats it in the ACT!
This brand is super cheap for such a great range and quality of this make up.

If you guys follow me on Instagram you would know that i am absolutely obsessssssssed with their Colour Inject Lipstick range! They have recently changed their packaging and i was like noooo its too bulky! BUT it does have a clear section at the bottom of the lipstick, that shows the true colour of the lipstick! With the old packaging some of the stickers at the bottom would not be the same colour as the actual lipstick inside, which is annoying if the store doesn't have testers and cant do swatches and stuff like that!

Left: old packaging
Right: new packaging

But! The lipsticks are so creamy and shiny on the lips, suuper opaque and glide straight on.

Now, Australis Stay Put Foundation..
I have been wearing this foundation for thr past few days testing out the wear, durability, etc. this foundation says it lasts up to 16 hours.
I had a test for this foundation, at work on thursdays its late night. 9am til 7:30pm. Thats 10 and a half hours. At work I clean and do some work on clients so I'm on my feet most of the time and if i feel like cleaning hard, I'll start sweating a bit. So I thought I'd test the foundation out yesterday.

I loved the packaging, it was so cute and love that it has a nozel? Is that what you call it? Haha i dont know.
The stay put label also intrigued me. I thought because it says 'stay put' it may be a matte foundation or a mousse foundation but it was actually a very slippery wet cream foundation which im not a fan of but it looked great once on my skin. It gave me such a flawless look as you can see in the below photo. I have absolutely no make up on the left side of my face the right side is all australis make up. The colour was alright, may have been a tad dark but once it settled into my skin, it changed to match my colour.

This foundation was put on around about 8:30 in the morning, and i got home at around 7:30pm. During the day i would look at my foundation to check for. I could touch my face and the foundation would not budge, hence the stay put!
The colour, however, did fade throughout the day. By around 5pm, the foundation was a yellowy type colour and looked oily in places like my forehead and the sides of my nose. You could see some of my freckles and the redness of my cheeks.

If you were going out to dinner for a few hours this would be great. If your going out for 5+ hours, i wouldn't recommend this foundation if you want it to stay the same colour!
Also, I did not prime before i put this product on, that may make it last longer but I wanted to see how the actual foundation would do :)

Australis pressed powder!

I think everyones heard someone complain about the colours of the pressed powder, i have the darkest brown powder, and as you can see in the photo below of the powder, it is definately not the darkest brown and sometimes this powder is too light for me. Otherwise, this powder gives great coverage and makes your foundation stay on longer

Next up, Australis Highlights

I've used this product three times now and ill definately be using it from now on. I hadn't used a highlighter until this one but it makes such a difference to your make up! Last all day to with the right foundation!

Last but not least, the AustralisTint my Brow.
I had nooo idea what this product was or how it even worked, so when i opened it and saw a mascara brush i was like whaaaat. I got the colour 'blonde because i thought the other colour looked to dark but this colour is a little too light for my eyebrows so it looked a little wierd.
This brow tint literally makes your eyebrow feel like cement! Your eyebrow hairs will not be budging after you out this on haha!
It's not a bad idea, but I will be sticky with my e.l.f brow kit :)

Cool, well I hope you guys enjoyed and I will try and blog more often!

Until then

Mini Target Haul

Hey guys!
So I did my first Target shop the other day and thought I would show you my purchases :)

I was so excited when I heard Nyx was sold at Target!
So the first thing I purchased was the Nyx Jumbo Pencil in French Fries

This is like a bronze colour which i absolutely love!

Next is the Nyx Wonder Pencil in Medium. I have seen Shaaanxo use this in one of her tutorials and i dont have anything like this. It can be used as a concealor or highlighter or even an eyebrow pencil if you have light eyebrows.

It's literally just a nude colour, you can barely see it on my hand in the photo.

Next, I have been searching for so long for a dark plum lipstick and I finally found one! I would love it to be matte but ut was a gloss but it still looks great!

It looks lighter on my hand but it comes out much darker on my lips

Next up, I got some Chi Chi products. Target had a Buy 1 Get one free on eyes and lips so I picked up two Viva La Diva Matte Lipsticks in Bimbo and Say My Name :)

Left: Bimbo
Right: Say My Name

Above: say my name
Above: bimbo

Last but not least, Essence Compact Powder in 01 Sun Kissed

I love this because the mosaic has hints off bronzer but also a blush tone with the pink areas and a higlight tone with the brighter areas!

Hope you guys enjoyed and I'll be posting more often

Review: Australis Fresh & Flawless Foundation and Pressed Powder

Today I thought I would give the Australis Fresh & Flawless foundation and pressed powder a go. Foundation is in natural beige and pressed powder in darkest brown.

The foundation had a low to medium coverage, i had to put on two layers but could have used a third. I didn't put a third layer on because I was putting the pressed powder on which gave it the full coverage the foundation needed.

The foundation was my exact skin tone which i was very happy about. I thought that this foundation was going to be a liquid foundation but was actually a cream which made me even more happy because i am not the biggest fan of liquids as some can be oily.

I like my foundation to be pretty matte and by putting the fresh & flawless pressed powder over the foundation it nicely set my make up with matte finished look. Also I didn't have to use very much of the powder to get full coverage.

Because this foundation is so light i wanted to see how it would go just lounging around the house and doing small things like cleaning or homework.

I put my make up on at 1pm, cleaned my room a bit, watched a movie and texted some friends. At 3 o'clock, I checked it out and it was still going good. Looked the same as I put it on. 5 o'clock came and you could slowly start to see the blemishes and the light freckles on my skin. By the time i went to bed at 9:30pm you could see the redness of my cheeks.

It felt amazing on my skin and didn't feel sticky when i touched my face and felt like i was wearing nothing at all, but this combo would not last all day. And with a job like mine, I need it to last the day.

If i am just going to the shops for a few hours or to a friends house, I'd go straight for these two combos :)

Make Up Collection Update

Finally went through and re-organised my whole room today, this included my make up drawers and organizer, it was looking a bit crowded.

I moved my jewellery tree, hair products and nail polish into my closet because it was making my desk too cramped and messy. My dvds were in the first drawer where i have now put most of my make up so theyve gone into the closet too

My make up organiser is looking a bit bare now but im making way for more new products :)

The top bit has my nyx jumbo eye pencils, macaras, eyelid primers, eye pencils, lip liners & liquid eyeliners.

First drawer is full of my lipsticks/lipglosses - minus my favourites, they're in my lip tray on my desk.

Second drawer is just my facial masks. Pretty bare.

Now to my Vanity.
First drawer has BB creams, concealors, blushes, foundations, primers, pressed and loose powders and bronzers.

Second drawer to my vanity is all eyeshadows singles, quads & pallettes.

Third and last drawer to my vanity, is all make up wipes, tanning lotions and extra make up necessities.

Take a look at my old make up collection post and see the difference :)
Hope you enjoyed
