So I finally got the courage to try the Models Prefer Infinite Colour Foundation. I have heard so many pros and cons. I was kind of drawn too it because of the fact it says 12 hour all day wear.
So this post is first impressions!
I'll be writing my comments down as I am trying it on!
Okay first of all, the packaging.. I thought it looked cute because i like packaging like this, kind of bulky and rectangular bottle, it looks similair to my bys foundation. But when i take the lid off it just feels tacky and cheap (which, price wise, its really not) when you take the lid off, theres yet another little nob you have to take off which i dont understand? Maybe to keep the foundation in more? It is verrrry thin and cremey so it would slide everywhere.
First I prime! I thought this foundation would really need This foundation is a creme, which isn't what i normally go for. When i put the foundation on my hand it is VERY thin. I needed to put a few layers on to my face to actually see that I was wearing foundation and not BB cream. And even with those three layers, you can still see the redness of my cheeks and beauty spots and what not. If you want a flawless look with your foundation, i wouldn't recommend this, after a few seconds of having the foundation on it looked like it was oozing into my pores and making them stand out even more! Not good :/ and not very good coverage! I was a tad bit scared it wouldn't be my skin tone but it was a perfect match so I was happy with that.
Instead of adding more layers of foundation I thought I would try hide them with concealer. So after I had done that, I added all my bronzer, blush, eyeshadow and finishing powder, I just went about my normal things. Cleaned my room, went to the mall, lay on the couch and watch tv for a bit.
Very sticky at first, but after about an hour it started to set and become dry enough that I could touch my face.
When i watch tv i do tend to touch my face just because i lean my face on my hand to keep my head up sometimes, so in doing that i smudged the foundation heaps. My other foundation are more matte and dont tend to smudge when touched.
I travel to darwin sometimes to visit my uncle aunty and cousins sometimes and you all know how hot and humid it is in darwin so i dont like to use a lot of make up because it will just glide right off, so this is a foundation i would probably use over there instead of my others.
If you like a foundation that is very thin so you can still see the redness/peachyness of your skin then definately try this out. Or if you live in a humid place. Its not a bad foundation but not one i would go to grab very often.
Thanks guys!
